One Bright Christmas
by Katherine Spencer

This is a heart warming story centered around Lauren Willoughby who returns to her small hometown after the loss of her job in the BIG city. You will not only be caught up in her life but others in her hometown. The characters "came alive" for me. I was especially drawn to Ezra and his concern for Teddy, a little lost puppy. The affect on his wife was quite interesting yet as the book concludes the reader can only imagine the extreme "turn-around" ahead for the Ezra's wife. Katherine Spencer's Christian faith is prominent throughout the book which I especially appreciate. The story of forgiveness is seen through the life of Lucy, another hometown resident. Again, Christian values are expressed for true forgiveness. In my opinion, Katherine Spencer is an excellent author.

Compelling story about a families faith walk. How their faith in God has carried them through some rather tough times. And about a modern day hero.

This prequel does a great job filling in lots of details about is the Hunger Games got started and how they’ve evolved. I really enjoyed learning about Snow’s background.

Confusing book. Synopsis made story sound like the wife would find a big secret after husband dies.

This was a beautifully written book that really makes you feel like you're in India. The characters are beautifully written and it was so easy to lose myself in their stories.
